Type M copper tubing walls are the thinnest used in construction, at 0.026" in wall thickness and thus more vulnerable to leaks if water being handled is aggressive or corrosive. We illustrate both red and embossed-in-copper markings on copper piping in our photo shown here.
Flexible soft copper tubing such as typically rated type ACR used in air conditioning and refrigeration and some water piping systems. When copper tube is welded to compressor make a whole unit of refrigeration system, inspection under water is a method to check if any the welding part is leaking. Leak is a essentional problem in all refrigeration system. Right now inspection under water is a fast and effective way to check leaks.
